What purpose does backing scrim serve for our ceiling filters?

  • All input media is reinforced with a polyester scrim on the air exit face to increase stability and to afford a high level of mechanical structure to the filter media to assist with correct installation and reliability in use. Some cheaper media does not have this scrim fitted.

How often should a ceiling filter be replaced?

  • The ceiling filters must be changed regularly to maintain high-quality standards within the spray booth. The recommended replacement time of a spray booth can vary, depending on the how busy and frequently the spray booth is used, but in general, ceiling filters should be changed every six to twelve months. However, these are just rough guides and it is up to the person responsible to ensure that the filters are being changed often enough.
